Procurement Specialist

The ideal candidate will oversee the entire purchasing process, encompassing sourcing, requesting for quotation, negotiation, shipping, and follow-up on deliveries. They will also review and procure materials, components, and equipment as dictated by material requirements planning.

In addition to these responsibilities, the procurement specialist will need to review and expedite materials with vendors to meet production schedules. They will also collaborate with supply chain planning and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials/components to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.

Other key responsibilities include managing suppliers to meet objectives in areas of quality, delivery fulfillment, and inventory control. The procurement specialist will also process documentation on purchasing activities, handle returns, manage non-conforming products units with suppliers, execute cost reduction plans, and update weekly/monthly reports timely.

Requirements for this role include a diploma/degree holder in Supply Chain Management, with a preference for contract manufacturing background. A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant working experience/relevant industries is required, along with good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary, and SAP knowledge is an added advantage. The ability to analyze bills of materials (BOM) is also required.

Compliance with RBA standards is mandatory.
