The position of Integration Engineer is responsible for planning, installing, configuring, and maintaining a global messaging infrastructure. This role requires extensive knowledge of IBM products, including MQ Server, to ensure production messaging uptime and availability, as well as problem determination, monitoring, performance tuning, administration, configuration, release- and patch maintenance.

This engineer works closely with business and application development teams to solve business problems in development, testing, or demonstration of messaging. The person is responsible for an error-free deployment on production environments and ensures the performance, availability, and security of the messaging infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Error-Free Deployment: Ensure seamless integration with existing systems and infrastructure.
  • Messaging Infrastructure Maintenance: Plan, install, configure, and maintain a robust messaging infrastructure.
  • Problem Determination: Identify and resolve issues affecting messaging uptime and availability.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize messaging performance to meet business needs.

The Integration Specialist supports customers with integration solutions based on message flows for service consumers and providers, routing, transforming, and enriching messages during processing. This role requires a proven track record of delivering and maintaining integration solutions using IBM ACE, with expert knowledge of messaging on distributed systems.

The IBM MQ Administrator installs and administers IBM MQ Server, performing various messaging-related tasks across one or more engineering teams. This includes designing, installing, and maintaining queue managers and queues, adhering to backup/recovery design and configuration- and change management.

We are looking for an experienced professional with strong analytical and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of EAI & SOA solutions, experience with messaging tools, and expertise in server build installation and deployment, maintenance, migration, and upgrades on existing MQ infrastructure.

A strong background in programming languages such as ESQL, XML, XSLT, JSON, Web Services, Java, PL/SQL in Unix, and Windows environments is essential. Additionally, familiarity with software development methodologies, IT service management best practices, and enterprise integration architecture standards is desirable.
