Highly Driven Optomechanical Component Designer

We are seeking a highly driven and creative Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of Quantum Gravity Sensors. The successful candidate will design, prototype, test, refine, and manufacture precision optomechanical components, including optics, electronics, and vacuum assembly.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in thermal design, including heat sinks, heat pipes, liquid heat exchangers, peltiers, and finite element analysis (FEA) for thermal simulations. They should also be skilled in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) for engineering drawings, including tolerance stacks, and have hands-on fabrication experience, including machining, lathe, CNC, laser cutting, and 3D printing.

  • Perform structural, vibrational, and heat transfer analysis (FEA) to ensure robustness in harsh environments.
  • Design temperature and vibration control systems for different subsystems.
  • Liaise with international supply chain partners and work within a multicultural team environment.
