Key Responsibilities
  • Inspection and Testing: Conduct thorough inspections of welded joints and perform tests to ensure compliance with company standards, national codes, and customer specifications.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Record inspection and test results, prepare and submit reports to welding engineering personnel, and maintain accurate records of welding procedures and CWB binders.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with retained weld engineers, customers' weld engineering departments, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Procedure Management: Develop, implement, and maintain welding procedures, ensuring that welders are qualified and approved for corresponding procedures.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure adherence to company standards and customer requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a heavy fabrication environment, preferably in a similar role.
  • Education: Polytechnic or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong documentation skills, knowledge of Welding Inspection (AWS or CSWIP), and Auditor certification.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with Base build piping fabrication, Hook-up module fabrication, welding inspections of structural and piping welding jobs, including Non-Destructive testing.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
