We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative culinary leader to spearhead the direction of our hospitality operation.
This unique opportunity combines creativity with purpose - designing menus that celebrate local and international flavours, while fostering an inclusive kitchen environment.
Our ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing menus that reflect innovation, nutritional balance, and inclusivity. They will ensure consistency in food quality, taste, portioning, and presentation across all service periods.
Key responsibilities include promoting seasonal and promotional menus, overseeing inventory control, establishing kitchen Standard Operating Procedures, leading and mentoring a diverse culinary team, and fostering a respectful work environment.
Required qualifications include a Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Food & Beverage Management, or equivalent, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. A proven track record as an Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a standalone restaurant, cafe, or similar setting is essential.
In addition to these requirements, we are looking for someone who is passionate about mentorship, community service, and building an inclusive culinary culture. The successful candidate will have experience working with team members with special needs and a strong understanding of food safety standards, kitchen operations, and cost control practices.
- Develop and implement menus that celebrate local and international flavors.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, portioning, and presentation.
- Promote seasonal and promotional menus that align with community themes.
- Oversee inventory control, ordering, stock rotation, and wastage reduction strategies.
- Establish and enforce kitchen SOPs to optimize efficiency and consistency.
