Job Description:

Design and implement DC power systems that meet performance, efficiency, and safety standards. Collaborate with sales teams to gather customer requirements and propose solutions. Develop detailed technical plans for the implementation, testing, and maintenance of power systems.

Choose appropriate components and materials for system designs based on project requirements and industry standards. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to build DC power systems. Conduct factory acceptance tests (FAT) with testing engineers to validate system functionality, efficiency, and safety.

Ensure DC power systems adhere to relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations. Stay informed about emerging technologies and identify opportunities for system enhancements and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Propose and support sales for preparation of technical drawings and compliance of switch mode rectifiers/power systems solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales to gather and analyze customer requirements.
  • Create detailed technical plans for the implementation, testing, and maintenance of power systems.
  • Choose appropriate components and materials for system designs.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to build DC power systems.
  • Conduct FAT with testing engineers to validate system functionality, efficiency, and safety.
  • Create user documentation for DC power systems.
  • Conducts customer training for DC power systems solutions.
  • Resolve technical issues related to DC power systems during installation, commissioning, and operation.
  • Ensure DC power systems adhere to relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and identify opportunities for system enhancements and innovative solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Diploma or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or a related field.

Experience: At least 3 years of previous experience in designing and implementing DC power systems or related electrical systems is beneficial.

Skills: Proficiency in designing and analyzing DC power systems, including knowledge of power electronics, voltage regulation, converters, and battery backup technologies.

Software Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD software and Visio stencils.

Personal Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address technical challenges in DC power systems.

Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients.

Project Management Skills: Basic project management skills to plan and execute tasks within defined timelines and budgets.

Documentation Skills: Thoroughness in documenting designs, plans, and test results, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Industry Knowledge: Understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations related to electrical systems and DC power systems.

Attitude: Mindset of seeking out innovative solutions and continuous improvement for enhancing system performance and efficiency.
