Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and deliver the bank's next mid-term payments strategy by migrating legacy applications to a new regionalized vendor product.
  • Manage the project team (onshore and offshore), collaborate with different stakeholders at all levels, and manage deliverables to meet the project's objective.
  • Prepare a detailed project plan with key project milestones, workstreams, and activities, managing delivery of the project according to this plan.
  • Track project progress and provide regular reports on project status to the project team and key stakeholders.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project reports to stakeholders, reporting to internal management or senior stakeholders on project progress.
  • Manage and adjust for any changes in project scope, schedule, and/or budget.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Manage the relationship and communication with all stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered to their satisfaction.
  • Manage external vendors and/or internal resources towards the successful completion of projects.
  • Set up project meetings with multiple vendors and facilitate project objective and scope discussions.
  • Define resource requirements and manage resource availability and allocation, managing diverse teams, including internal and 3rd party teams.
  • Outline a budget based on requirements and track costs to deliver the project on budget.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline (Computer Science, Software Engineering) and 8+ years of related work experience as a full-fledged project manager.
  • A PMP or equivalent project management certification and excellent knowledge of working in both waterfall and agile environments. Agile Scrum Master certification is a plus.
  • Solid familiarity with project management software tools, project management techniques, service management, and development lifecycle.
  • Experience with implementing large-scale projects and programs across multiple geographies to create one global end-user experience and a unified global support model.
  • Experience in managing project team members and vendors.
  • Experience in project reporting to both project teams and senior organization stakeholders.
  • Experience in presenting project status to top management and senior executives.
  • Experience in corporate banking project management and system implementation.
  • Good planning, reporting, and communication skills, including management communication.
  • Experience in the Bank/Finance industry, particularly in the APAC region.
  • Working experience in a Japanese company is a plus.
  • End-to-end delivery management of IT programs (preferably multi-country implementation). 2. Cash Management/VAM domain exposure (Cash Management, Liquidity Management, Virtual Accounts Management).
  • Must have handled large teams and dealt with multiple stakeholders in a bank.
