Optical Transceiver Thermal Performance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Optical Transceiver Thermal Performance Engineer to utilize simulation tools and analyze thermal performance ensuring compliance with design specifications and operational requirements.

  • Conducting simulations using Solidworks, ANSYS, and COMSOL software to analyze heat transfer, temperature distribution, and thermal stresses within optical transceivers.
  • Developing and refining thermal models based on component specifications, operating conditions, and environmental factors.
  • Analysis of simulation results to identify potential thermal issues, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Execution of thermal validation tests to verify simulation accuracy and assess thermal performance under various operating conditions.
  • Thermal behavior characterization of optical transceivers including temperature rise, thermal gradients, and thermal resistance.

To succeed in this role you will need to have experience with thermal simulation software, strong understanding of heat transfer principles, fluid mechanics, and thermal modeling techniques. In addition, experience with thermal testing, data analysis, and statistical methods is required. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is necessary for this position.

This role requires the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and test engineers. Strong problem-solving skills are essential to identify and resolve thermal issues in optical transceiver designs.
