Job Overview

The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality within our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of Food Safety Management Systems and effective communication with staff and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze food safety and quality results, track performance against established goals, and assist in periodic reporting.
  2. Act as the first point of contact for all customer quality inquiries, schedule audits, and provide feedback on inquiries.
  3. Develop, update, and implement the Food Safety Management System (BRC), HACCP, and Halal Quality Management System (MUIS) to ensure compliance with standards and certification requirements.
  4. E nsure production, warehouse, and related areas comply with GMP standards.
  5. Lead investigations of customer complaints, maintain logs, and track resolution.
  6. Issue CPARs for non-conforming products, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  7. Conduct annual mock recalls, traceability, and mass balance exercises.
  8. Support external audits and inspections, including third-party, customer, and regulatory audits.
  9. Develop and deliver training on food quality and safety to ensure system compliance.
  10. Provide technical support to sales, shipping, maintenance, and production departments.
  11. Manage customer inquiries, questionnaires, COA, product specifications, and declarations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Diploma in Food Science or equivalent qualification.
  • QC experience in food is preferred.
  • 1-2 years' experience in the food industry ideal for a shorter learning curve.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin with staff and customers.
  • Ability to work independently with initiative and resourcefulness.
  • Fast learner, able to work under pressure.
