Strategic Credit Management Professional

Credit Operations Senior Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the bank's trade finance and retail loan strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines while maintaining high-quality assets.

Compensation Package:
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform credit appraisals for trade finance accounts, retail loans, syndicated, and bilateral loans, ensuring thorough analysis and risk assessment.
- Oversee all credit administration functions related to trade finance advances, retail loans, and syndicated/bilateral loans, including post-sanction monitoring and document verification.
- Maintain accurate records and secure custody of credit files, loan documents, and security documents, adhering to regulatory standards.
- Monitor credit portfolios, identifying potential issues and implementing proactive measures to maintain asset quality.
- Analyze financial statements to detect deviations from sanction proposals, ensuring timely corrective action.
- Ensure compliance with Loan Grading and provisioning guidelines as stipulated by MAS/RBI, whichever is more stringent.
- Identify Early Warning Signals (EWS) and analyze alerts received, providing informed views on their impact on credit quality.
- Collaborate with borrowers and agents to resolve irregular loans and stressed assets, promoting early resolution.
- Conduct unit visits as per terms of sanction and follow up on compliance with facility agreements and security perfection.
- Verify and authorize financial and non-financial payment messages via Finacle, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate roll-over notices, interest advice, and correspondence with borrowers and lenders, resolving queries promptly.
- Prepare regulatory returns (MAS, RBI) at stipulated intervals and generate various reports for top management.
- Participate in internal and external audits, addressing deficiencies and ensuring rectification.
- Facilitate submission of periodic financials and compliance certificates, maintaining transparency and accountability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Banking and Finance, preferably with 5 years of relevant experience in the field.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and sound knowledge of banking systems, processes, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with staff and top management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in international banking, computer applications, and business management is highly desirable.
