About the Role

The Chief Business Performance Leader will play a pivotal role in driving performance improvements and returns for our Operating Companies (OpCos) and Business Units. This key position reports directly to the MD, Group Finance, and is part of the Group CFO Organisation.

As the Head of Group Business Excellence, you will lead cross-functional teams on various projects aimed at enhancing our Group's returns, streamlining financial and business processes, optimising revenue and costs, conducting business performance reviews, and establishing new frameworks.

  • Drive Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) initiatives across OpCos and Regional Associates, focusing on maximizing ROIC and enhancing overall business performance.
  • Establish and lead squads, develop action plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement these initiatives effectively.
  • Monitor and track the progress of initiatives, providing regular updates to the steering committee and key stakeholders.
  • Analyse market trends, industry benchmarks, and competitor performance to identify best practices and opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices related to ROIC optimisation, and integrate relevant insights into strategic planning and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support board and shareholder representatives in key strategic and shareholder matters related to our OpCos.
  • Review Board/Excom and sub-committee papers to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Participate in business strategy development, potential partnerships, and strategic value creation initiatives.

Requirements

  • CFA/CPA or other Finance degree qualifications
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in consulting advisory, M&A, financial role, and large accounting firm experience
  • Track record in finance business process improvements and performance management
