Job Title: Sourcing Strategist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Sourcing Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our Corporate Procurement department, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing procurement strategies for indirect categories, with a focus on IT procurement.

You will be responsible for building strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to understand their priorities and meet their procurement needs. You will also collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and risk teams, to ensure the smooth delivery of procurement outcomes.

Your expertise will be invaluable in developing and sustaining collaborative relationships with strategic suppliers, ensuring service delivery and competitive pricing.

In addition, you will oversee the management and execution of the IT category, keeping abreast of market trends and identifying opportunities for value creation for the business.

You will champion initiatives to improve the team or procurement outcomes through process improvements or the adoption of digital/AI solutions.

As a leader, you will inspire a team of category managers/strategic sourcing professionals and influence stakeholders to ensure governance and control requirements, as well as adherence to corporate policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A good degree with >15 years of relevant work experience relating to the job description. Experience in indirect categories and IT procurement is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with internal stakeholders at varying levels in the organization.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities.
  • Structured thought process, with excellent planning and organizational ability.
  • Passionate about exploring and learning new skills and knowledge.
