Job Summary

This role is responsible for performing various analytical tests and ensuring that all incoming samples are tested and completed on time using the appropriate test methods and good laboratory practices, along with the proper reporting and maintenance of records.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field and 1 to 3 years of laboratory experience. Prior experience using laboratory instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, ICP, etc. is strongly preferred.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform various analytical tests and ensure that all incoming samples are tested and completed on time using the appropriate test methods and good laboratory practices, along with the proper reporting and maintenance of records.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of statistics and analytical techniques.
  • Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
  • Uphold the scientific integrity and professional reputation of both themselves and of the laboratory, exercising professional judgement and seeking advice from senior staff with complex issues.
  • Document, revise and assess the analytical methods used in the laboratory in consultation with the Team Leader or Operations Manager.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of laboratory experience preferred (entry-level candidates may be considered for junior roles).
  • Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices or ISO 17025 standards.
  • Prior experience using laboratory instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, ICP, etc.
