Senior Medical Writer Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to combine your understanding of medical science and writing skills into a challenging and rewarding career as a Senior Medical Writer.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scientific writing, with excellent language skills and attention to detail. They will be able to adapt their writing style to different materials and target audiences, and possess basic knowledge of biostatistics.

The role involves developing high-quality scientific and medical materials, such as manuscripts, abstracts, and posters, according to client and audience needs. The candidate will also be responsible for reviewing and editing materials developed by junior writers, and mentoring and training them to improve their skills.

Effective communication and collaboration are essential for this role, as the candidate will need to work closely with team members, authors, clients, and vendors to deliver projects on time.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD or MD in Pharmacology, or a related field, and at least 4 years of experience in scientific writing. They will be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality scientific and medical materials, such as manuscripts, abstracts, and posters
  • Review and edit materials developed by junior writers
  • Mentor and train junior writers to improve their skills
  • Communicate effectively with team members, authors, clients, and vendors
Required Skills and Qualifications
