Job Description:

As a Senior Pastry Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of our kitchen. You will act as a liaison between Team Members, Executive Chef, and Executive Sous Chef, fostering effective communication and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Executive Chef/Executive Sous Chef in managing daily operations
• Coordinate communication between Team Members, Executive Chef, and Executive Sous Chef
• Ensure quality control of food items, adhering to strict standards of sanitation and presentation
• Monitor production to guarantee compliance with recipes and specifications
• Provide training and guidance to line cooks on recipe preparation and food presentation
• Assist in estimating food consumption and scheduling purchases
• Minimize waste and spoilage

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts/Pastry or related field preferred
• Seven years managerial experience in a high-volume hotel setting
• Comprehensive culinary background with expertise in Asian and Western cuisines
• Strong logistical, culinary, and leadership skills
• Ability to instill safety and sanitation habits
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages an asset
• Willingness to work shift hours
