Job Description
The Mandarin Language Teacher will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children, facilitating small group experiences within an inquiry-based context, and promoting a love for Mandarin language and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging circle time experiences and small group activities that promote language development and cultural awareness.
- Document children's learning through contributions to newsletters, class panels, and children's portfolios.
- Build and maintain close partnerships with parents, keeping them informed of their child's progress and involving them in the learning process.
- Provide a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters a love for Mandarin language and culture.
Requirements
- Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education in Teaching (Chinese language) or equivalent.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant working experience in a pre-school or childcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Required to speak, read, and write in Mandarin as the candidate needs to teach students Mandarin language.
- ECDA L2 certification.
