About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sanctions Specialist Advisor to join our team at Deutsche Bank. As a key member of our APAC Sanctions team, you will play a critical role in protecting the bank from legal, regulatory, and reputational risk related to sanctioned entities and countries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the APAC Regional Head of Sanctions in developing and implementing sanctions policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance on sanctions-related questions and issues to internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and bank policies.
  • Interface with client service officers to review and decide on transaction-filtering requests, ensuring full compliance with sanctions regulations and bank procedures.
  • Monitor sanctions regulatory developments in the APAC region and translate them into potential policy adjustments for the bank.
  • Investigate and review transaction payment messages escalated from Regulatory Filtering Operations to APAC Sanctions for potential sanctions or policy violations.
  • Support sanctions-relevant reporting obligations to competent authorities and handle inquiries from regulatory authorities, internal or external auditors, and business lines.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in sanctions advisory services within a financial institution or investment bank.
  • Proven experience with regional and global sanctions policies and governance, cutting across the APAC region.
  • Proven project management experience in sanctions-related initiatives, with the ability to work with different working groups and stakeholders.
  • Possesses attention to detail and is meticulous in reviewing sanctions-related issues.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate clearly to internal stakeholders.
