Job Title: Test Engineering Specialist


About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Test Engineering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of testing strategies for various test equipment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup and Testing: You will work closely with engineers to set up and test RMA devices according to their instructions.
  • Remote Support: You will provide remote support via phone, email, and online systems for test setup, device changes, and result collection.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Special Requests: You will support ad-hoc requests such as instrument upgrades and evaluations.
  • Hardware Management: You will order, buy-off, debug, and repair test hardware as needed.
  • Bench Setup: You will assemble new instruments on benches and coordinate equipment relocation.
  • PM and Calibration: You will perform PM, calibration, and repair of test floor equipment and bench instruments.


RMA Bench Management:

  • Bench Utilization: You will manage day-to-day RMA bench utilization for testing according to priorities.
  • Part Tracking: You will track and control RMA parts used in testing.
  • Inventory Management: You will track and manage HW inventory and instrument calibration.
  • Equipment Maintenance: You will maintain RMA benches and equipment/instruments in the RMA lab.
  • Reporting: You will compile engineering and operational reports, RMA testing results.


Requirements:

  • ATE Experience: At least 2 years' experience working with different ATE testers and peripherals.
  • Instrument Knowledge: Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, RF instruments, and other bench setups.
  • System Level Testing: Familiarity with system-level testing setups and experience in semiconductor assembly, SMT, and packaging associated issues.
  • Automotive Industry: Experience in the automotive industry or related products is preferred.


Skills:

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Automotive Systems Knowledge: Understanding of key components and interactions of automotive subsystems.
  • Electronic Test Equipment: Proficient with electronic instruments such as Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Oscilloscopes.
  • Lab Management: Strong engineering lab management skills.
