Quantity Surveyor Job Description

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the Tender and Bidding Team to prepare Bills of Quantities, review contracts and drawings, interpret specifications, and handle Requests for Information (RFI) and Clarifications.
  • Managing and supervising contract administration for assigned projects, covering project procurement, main contract and subcontract administration, and evaluating price comparisons and costing summaries.
  • Assisting in sourcing and comparing quotations for project material requests, liaising with suppliers and purchasing teams, and monitoring project order schedules.
  • Preparing and submitting monthly progress claims, variation orders, final account settlements, and ensuring timely submission of invoices.
  • Evaluating subcontractors' progress claims, issuing payment responses, and processing final payments.
  • Addressing project issues such as Extension of Time (EOT), terms and conditions, prolongation claims, and loss and expense claims.

Requirements:

  • A minimum diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in quantity surveying; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software/tools and experience in sourcing, purchasing, and billing.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
