Job Description

As a highly motivated and skilled professional, you will play a key role in managing the delivery of fiber projects on behalf of AWS. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the construction standards and installation specifications, ensuring that they are met throughout the project.

You will perform quality audits of outside plant and inside plant installations, understand the metro fiber market, installation methods, and associated risks. Additionally, you will interface with internal stakeholders and data center providers to coordinate installation, create detailed network planning packs, and ensure that diversity requirements are met.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Program management, risk mitigation, and reporting status reviews to management and internal customers;
  • Inventory management across multiple regions;
  • Reviewing handover packages and reviewing fiber test results (OTDR/ILM/ORL);
  • Handling ad-hoc incoming inquiries and problems to ensure construction programs continue on schedule.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience;
  • Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure;
  • Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds;
  • Strong contacts in fiber, transport, and infrastructure markets;
  • Leadership experience in large network construction programs;
  • Understanding of construction standards in multiple regions.
