Google will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Singapore, and do not require Google's sponsorship of a visa.
**Minimum qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in program management.
**Preferred qualifications**:
- Experience working at a large scale technology company delivering a high volume of network build projects.
- Experience managing fiber and telecom vendors for the on-time delivery of fiber assets.
- Experience with fiber permitting, construction, splice, testing, and remediation.
- Experience creating processes and delivery improvements for fiber delivery activities.
**About the job**: A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist upstream planning and acquisition teams in developing infrastructure requirements, priorities, and delivery date expectations.
- Manage project scope changes and scope creep. Manage the delivery of large scale network infrastructure projects involving long-haul dark fiber, metro fiber, leased capacity/circuits, and inside plant fiber from inception through delivery.
- Ensure facilities are delivered on schedule and meet technical specifications. Serve as primary APAC vendor contact for network delivery projects. Escalate up vendor management chains as necessary if delivery time lines are at risk.
- Oversee the program to handle all vendor handover documentation, e.g., LOA/CFA (Letter Of Authority, Customer Facility Assignment), DLR (Design Layout Record) Completion notification, test results and technical drawings while working with vendors and Google staff to coordinate and facilitate excellent record-keeping and communication.
