Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee security protocols for cloud environments
  • Conduct routine security evaluations and audits of cloud infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security best practices into cloud-based applications and services
  • Monitor and react to security incidents, ensuring prompt resolution
  • Establish and maintain access controls, encryption, and other security features
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging threats to proactively address potential vulnerabilities
  • Create and document security policies, procedures, and guidelines for cloud environments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) are advantageous
  • At least five years of pertinent IT experience in deploying and managing applications and services on the cloud, including the design, development, implementation, and/or management of the solution
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Security Engineer or in a similar capacity, particularly with AWS cloud services
  • Strong knowledge of security principles
  • Comprehensive understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Proficient in security concepts related to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and containerization
  • Familiarity with security tools and technologies, including Security Information and Event Management, Data Loss Prevention, Database Activity Monitoring, Data Security and Protection, Privileged Access Management, File Integrity Monitoring, Web Application Firewall, and Intrusion Prevention
