Job Description:

The role involves contributing to the formulation of policies and strategies for the Education and Development Department. This includes implementing artist-led programs such as the NAC-Arts Education Programme (NAC-AEP) and Artist-In-School Scheme (AISS). The goal is to strengthen the arts education sector by building relationships with artists, arts groups, and government agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strengthen outcomes of arts education programs by identifying issues, gaps, and needs, and developing solutions for preschool, mainstream, SPED, and ITE sub-sectors.
  • Catalyze growth in the arts education sector by collaborating with stakeholders to develop initiatives and implement capability development programs for the arts education workforce.
  • Manage arts education related evaluation and research projects.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need a good degree and at least 3 years of relevant working experience. Strong analytical, critical thinking skills, and IT skills are essential. Good project and relationship management skills, as well as being a team player who is proactive, resourceful, independent, and self-motivated, are also required. You should have good communication and writing skills, be passionate about the arts and culture, and have good knowledge of the arts landscape and/or arts education and/or special education sector in Singapore.
