Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team. As a key member of the research group, you will be responsible for conducting research and development in the field of heterogeneous catalysis and thermochemical reaction engineering.

Job Description

The primary goal of this project is to develop innovative approaches to tackle technical challenges associated with biomass conversion to low-emission fuels. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of chemists and computational scientists to design, implement, and optimize experimental apparatus and procedures.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Publishing research results in top-tier international journals
  • Maintaining and operating the research laboratory
  • Managing day-to-day operations of experimental apparatus
  • Procuring chemicals and consumables
  • Mentoring junior researchers and co-supervising their work
  • Collaborating with industry partners to advance project goals


Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, or a related field
  • Experience in operating thermal catalytic reactors
  • Extensive knowledge in operando and in situ catalyst characterization techniques
  • A good record of publishing peer-reviewed papers
  • Strong scientific writing and communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
