Our team is seeking a highly motivated professional to join our records management department as an Assistant Director/Senior Archivist.

About the Role

The National Archives of Singapore is responsible for managing and preserving historical records and documents, playing a vital role in promoting transparency and accountability in government.

  • We are looking for a skilled individual who can lead our team in implementing effective record-keeping practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • You will be responsible for developing and maintaining our records management systems, policies and procedures, and providing training and guidance to staff on records management practices.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement records management policies and procedures aligned with international standards and guidelines.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to staff on records management best practices and procedures.
  • Lead and manage a team of records managers and archivists to ensure effective delivery of records management services.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that records management practices are integrated into all aspects of our operations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Archives and Records Management or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in records management, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and guidelines.
