Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Field Application Engineer. As a key member of our sales and technical support team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing customer solutions, providing technical training and education, and working closely with our sales, engineering, and management teams to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather business and application requirements from customers and promote Supermicro products
  • Design and implement customer solutions using Supermicro products and platforms
  • Lead training and education efforts on Supermicro and market technology
  • Work with sales, engineering, management, and operation teams to initialize or support business at the customer and Supermicro
  • Provide pre-sale and post-sale support to customers
  • Visit customer sites to enable solution integration and issue resolution
  • Lead in solution development and work with design and testing engineers to enable new enterprise and data center solutions
  • Build and demonstrate proof-of-concept solutions that meet or exceed customer business needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and business skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in compute/storage server or data center or IT infrastructure
  • Strong background and experience with x86-based server architecture
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure, network infrastructure, or liquid-cooling architecture
  • Solid HW system design and diagnostics skills
  • Familiarity with firmware, Linux, Windows, and virtualization platforms
  • Strong technical communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
