Enterprise Monitoring Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who is passionate about technology.

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill this critical role in our Monitoring Solutions Team.

  • The primary responsibility of this role is to implement and enable applications for APM, RUM, and Synthetic monitoring solutions.
  • You will onboard new applications and services to the enterprise monitoring platforms, APM, RUM, and Synthetic.
  • Maintaining observability tools including Infrastructure Monitoring is also a key aspect of this role.
  • You will continuously tune and optimize alert rules to reduce false positives/negatives and improve incident detection.
  • Coordination with the Operations team for patching and upgrading of agents across environments is essential.
  • Proactively monitoring hosts, applications, and infrastructure components to detect and resolve issues early is crucial.
  • You will create and fine-tune dashboards to provide actionable insights and visibility into system and application health.
  • Configuring and managing paging and alerting duties to ensure timely responses to incidents is vital.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve monitoring coverage and effectiveness is also necessary.
  • Organizing and leading bi-monthly operational meetings related to Splunk and monitoring activities is part of this role.
  • Managing BAU tasks along with continuous enhancements to the monitoring solutions is a key responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Observability, and Splunk ITSI is required.
  • Knowledge of ITSM - Information Technology Service Management, BMC Remedy ITSM, and Infra Automation is essential.
  • A strong understanding of LINUX is also required.
