">The Global Head of Tender Management role is responsible for optimizing tender readiness and improving the win/loss ratio. This involves developing the global brands' value proposition in cross-functional alignment with other departments. Additionally, this role will support key tender pricing strategy for priority global launch brands and coordinate with regions on cross-functional alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of play smart to win tender strategies and playbooks; provide clear recommendations to the business on tender management and planning across all EPD therapeutic areas.
- Develop innovative strategies for accelerating products' access in the tender channel, which may include alternative payment methodologies, value-based agreements, payer and/or pharma partnerships.
- Develop, implement, and launch tender management systems in key tender markets.
- Develop, approve, and implement tender management lifecycle strategies for each global brand.
- Analyze, align, and prioritize tenders supply across all geographies for all franchises.
- Develop, implement tender pricing strategy and price threshold matrix across all geographies.
- Monitor competitors' tender strategies and provide proactive support during tender submissions.
- Ensure compliance with global pricing guidance for tender submissions.
- Provide deep dive tender data analysis with elements of predictive analytics.
- Optimize top-line revenue in the tender business, identify growth drivers, and provide recommendations to regional heads and GMs.
- Develop and launch tender management dashboards for senior executive teams.
- Establish KPIs for monitoring tender business success.
- Develop and roll out tender dossiers for key global brands in alignment with marketing, HEOR, pricing, and market access CoEs.
- Provide tender management training for regional and local market access teams and functional tender champions.
- Develop bidding strategies for big tender submissions in alignment with regions and affiliates.
- Build a tender database, analyze it, and provide analytic reports to the senior executive committee monthly.
- Maintain a Countries Tender Champion network and educate tender champions.
- Monitor, forecast, and execute tender submissions across EPD geographies.
- Improve tender margins and maintain high-quality tender submissions.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree in economics, health economics, public health, health services research, or business analytics required; a PhD preferred.
- Prior experience in access regional or global tender management leadership strongly preferred.
- Advanced degrees in business analytics and/or financial analysis.
- Demonstrated span of control across multiple therapeutic areas; gastroenterology, CNS, women's health, oncology strongly preferred.
- High-level negotiation skills and experience in working with tenders and framework agreements.
- Demonstrated experience leading GTM office efforts and pricing in emerging markets.
- Demonstrated understanding of emerging markets healthcare systems and financing mechanisms; public and private tenders bidding experience required.
- Demonstrated experience leading global tender dossier development.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year. We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary, bonus, and stock options.
