Job Description

Overview:

The Senior Technical Lead is a key role in driving the analysis, design, and solution validation for assigned domains. This individual captures the voice of customers to scope changes, requiring strong analytical and domain management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive and lead analysis, design, solution validation, and workshops under assigned domain to ensure consistent and complete requirement and solution coverage.
  • Capture the voice of customers to scope changes, requiring strong analytical and domain management skills, including thorough understanding of customer business needs and translation into application and operational requirements.
  • Manage functional and technical designs for new features or adaptations.
  • Define and bridge the gap between requirements, solutions, development, and testing, working with developers on delivery scope, resources, planning.
  • Formalize business requirements (functional and technical specification): document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios.
  • Mediate business and technical discussions; take decisions considering technical and economic feasibility, business strategies, architectural guidelines, and other constraints.
  • Report on progress, risks, and issues; escalate to project manager/delivery manager in a timely manner.
  • Act as subject matter expert at specific areas, going deep into requirement/solution gaps with support from product architects.
  • Act as contact person for functional questions, supporting consulting projects and workshops with customers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology or related disciplines.
  • 7-10 years of experience in Financial Technology (Wealth Management, Core Banking), Avaloq preferred.
  • Good knowledge of financial and global market regulations.
  • Strong analytical and product management skills, interpreting customer business needs and translating them into application and operational requirements.
  • Knowledge of Trading, Middle Office, and BackOffice platforms like Bloomberg, Avaloq, FinIQ beneficial.
  • Good stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation, and conflicts management skills, building momentum and defining consensus.
  • Structured, organized, results-oriented approach, demonstrating diligence, attention to detail, and ability to ensure high quality and consistency.
  • Ability to multitask, be flexible, and allocate time according to moving priorities.
