About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the SIT Teaching and Learning Academy as an Educational Technologist. In this role, you will work closely with academic staff to promote the effective use of educational technologies to enhance teaching and learning practices.


Key Responsibilities
  • Technology Implementation:

Identify, assess, and implement educational technologies that enhance teaching and learning activities across disciplines.

Collaboration with Academic Staff:

Work closely with academic staff to experiment with and pilot new tools and technologies for online applied learning, as well as for improving face-to-face and hybrid learning environments.

Systems Integration:

Partner with the IT department to ensure smooth integration of selected educational technologies with SIT's existing systems and platforms.

Resource Management:

Oversee the development and management of educational software, AR/VR resources, and other technology-driven initiatives by working with both in-house and external teams.

Project Management:

Manage the processes for educational technology projects, ensuring milestones are met on time and within scope, and oversee procurement processes and project budgets.

Evaluation and Feedback:

Continuously review the effectiveness of technology solutions and tools, documenting outcomes and disseminating findings to encourage wider adoption within the university.

Academic Staff Training:

Design and deliver training programs, user guides, and workshops to equip academic staff with the skills to effectively use educational technologies in their teaching practice.

Promote Adoption:

Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging faculty adoption of new and effective educational technologies.
