Technical Packaging Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical Packaging Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading packaging activities, collaborating with product development teams, and driving quality control processes.

About the Role
  • Act as the subject matter expert and focal point for manufacturing capability, capacity issues, and performance with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).
  • Ensure seamless flow of knowledge and information across functions and with other sites when applicable, focusing on assigned products and packaging activities.
  • Develop innovative and functional packaging solutions for new and existing cosmetic products, concentrating on secondary and tertiary packaging.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to understand requirements and translate them into practical and aesthetically appealing packaging designs.
  • Evaluate and select packaging materials that are safe, suitable, and align with sustainability and eco-friendly goals.
  • Implement quality control processes for packaging materials and finished products, supported by the product development team.
  • Conduct tests and inspections to ensure line trial validation and packaging meet required standards, free from defects.
  • Participate in routine meetings and lead problem-solving activities using lean sigma tools.
  • Drive troubleshooting activities and lean initiatives at suppliers to enhance their manufacturing processes.
Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Expertise in packaging design and development, with a focus on secondary and tertiary packaging.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally and globally.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Familiarity with lean sigma tools and methodologies.
