Role Description
As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for executing all testing and commissioning activities related to the signalling trainborne equipment of newly manufactured trains. This role involves performing both static and dynamic tests, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the signalling equipment complies with project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements before handover.

Your key responsibilities include planning, preparing, and executing static and dynamic testing activities for the signalling subsystems on board trains. You will also collaborate with design, installation, and system integration teams to verify and validate trainborne equipment performance.

Additionally, you will perform fault-finding, troubleshooting, and issue resolution during the testing and commissioning phase. Your excellent communication and reporting skills will be essential for coordination with stakeholders.

 
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Railway Signalling, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline. A strong understanding of signalling principles, trainborne systems, and integration processes is essential. Hands-on experience with static and dynamic testing for trainborne systems is also required.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are necessary to work effectively within a team environment. Familiarity with Siemens CBTC technologies is an advantage.
