Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Trainborne Testing and Commissioning Engineer to join our team.

This role involves executing all testing and commissioning activities related to signalling trainborne equipment of newly manufactured trains for CBTC projects.

You will be responsible for performing both static and dynamic tests, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the signalling equipment complies with project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements before handover to clients.

The engineer will also support system-level tests for the commissioning of new lines, assisting the wider T&C team as required during integration and final acceptance phases.

Key responsibilities include planning, preparing, and executing static and dynamic testing activities for the signalling subsystems on board trains, including ATP, ATO, TDMS, and other trainborne systems.

You will ensure all testing is conducted in accordance with project schedules, quality standards, and test procedures.

Collaboration with the design, installation, and system integration teams is essential to verify and validate trainborne equipment performance.

Fault-finding, troubleshooting, and issue resolution during the testing and commissioning phase are critical skills required for this role.

Preparing and maintaining detailed test reports, records, and documentation for submission to clients and project stakeholders is also an important aspect of this position.

Participation in system-level testing and commissioning activities for new lines, supporting other T&C teams when required, is necessary for success in this role.

Providing technical feedback to the engineering and design teams for any identified non-conformities or improvement needs is crucial.

Safety regulations and LTA project standards must be adhered to throughout all phases of testing and commissioning.
