Academic Professional - Science and Mathematics Educator

We seek a highly qualified and experienced educator to teach Science and Mathematics at the IB/A Level. As an Academic Professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in Math, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology to students at both Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with the IB/A level philosophy, focusing on inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and real-world applications.
  • Assess students' academic progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Prepare students for internal assessments and IB exams, offering guidance and support throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary learning opportunities across subjects.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and continuous learning opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
  • Built positive relationships with students, parents, and the school community to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or a related field.
  • Teaching certification and/or IB A level certification is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (Mandarin).
  • Proven experience teaching Math, Physics, and Chemistry within the IB/A Level framework.
  • Strong understanding of IB curriculum, assessment criteria, and teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
  • A passion for teaching and inspiring students to achieve their full potential.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with differentiated instruction and adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Familiarity with digital learning tools and resources to enhance classroom instruction.
  • Ability to foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
