We are seeking a dynamic candidate for the position of Science Educator, Informal Science .

Essential Job Functions

The Science Educator (Informal Science) is responsible for developing and delivering inclusive, impactful, and engaging learning experiences in life sciences (DNA, food and nutrition, nature science) and/or physical sciences (physics, chemistry, mathematics, computation, earth and space science, engineering). These programs target students, teachers, the public, and families, aiming to increase visitorship and generate revenue for Science Centre Singapore.

The role also involves developing content for Science Centre's fabrication programs. The successful candidate will participate in planning and executing projects/events and contribute to cross-task force initiatives.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge in life and physical sciences, especially chemistry and mathematics, along with modern concepts in science and technology. Experience and interest in the maker movement, with good networks within the maker community, are preferred. The candidate must be tech-savvy, adaptable, eager to learn, and capable of developing and delivering content innovatively. Excellent project management, written, and oral communication skills are essential. The candidate should also be detail-oriented, adaptable, and a team player.
