Software VnV Test Engineer Job Description

Steering-holding-pte-ltd is seeking a skilled Software VnV Test Engineer to lead and develop validation and verification knowledge and capability for embedded systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer, system or software requirements
  • Develop a comprehensive test plan and strategy based on software build plans and project schedules
  • Design and implement software test cases using tools such as VTestStudio and CAPL scripts according to requirements
  • Conduct thorough software integration tests, unit tests and system tests based on the V model and ASPICE
  • Document and analyze anomaly reports, support debugging and test bug-fix
  • Analyze Matlab Simulink models to ensure proper functionality

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience in Validation and Verification of ECU in the automotive industry
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical, Electronic, Computer or Software Engineering
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely
  • Able to work flexible hours including occasional evening conference calls
  • Hands-on experience with embedded software and systems

Core Competencies:

  • Ability to create intricate software or system test scenarios based on functional requirements
  • Working knowledge of CAN/CAN-FD and Flexray communication protocols in vehicular network messages and diagnostic services
  • Experience with UDS protocol and CAN/CAN-FD testing
  • Familiarity with tools used for CAN/CAN-FD and Flexray communication networks
