Vehicle Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. As a key member of the workshop, you will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on light commercial vehicles and EVs.

  • Carry out maintenance, repair, and overhaul work on light commercial vehicles and EVs to ensure high standards of workmanship and minimize turnaround time for scheduled repairs and inspections.
  • Notify the team leader of any unusual repair problems that require major repair and replacement parts recommendation.
  • Adhere to defined guidelines in regards to safety, orderliness, etc.
  • Complete work orders for each vehicle and unit serviced.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Numerous Technical Certificate 2 or NITEC 2 in Automotive Technology.
  • At least 2-3 years' experience in automotive repair and service industry.
  • The ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues on commercial vehicles.
  • The ability to use and troubleshoot electrical/technical issues with diagnostic tools.
  • The ability to understand the functionality of electrical components.
  • A Class 3 & 4 Driving License (preferably).
