Chief Information Security Strategist

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a seasoned information security strategist to spearhead our agency's cybersecurity efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diversify and evolve our cyber security strategies and work plans, policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align ICT security strategy goals with policy frameworks.
  • Conduct regular gap analyses to identify areas for improvement in our digital landscape.
  • Oversee ICT security matters, including approving and tracking ICT security work plans and resourcing.
  • Review and ensure compliance with defined security policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Establish processes for threat detection, risk management, and incident response.
  • Lead investigation and management of ICT security incidents, promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technology-based field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in information security management, with a proven track record of driving strategic initiatives.
  • A deep understanding of cybersecurity risks and threats, including insider threats, vendor risks, data breaches, malware, and compliance risks.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards shared objectives.
  • CISSP/CISM/CISA certifications are highly advantageous in this role.
