Procurement Professional

The Procurement Manager plays a crucial role in the development and implementation of procurement strategies tailored to meet the company's evolving needs. This encompasses sourcing, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and strategic planning for optimal cost savings and process improvements.

A key responsibility is fostering strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring seamless communication, and prompt resolution of any arising issues.

The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization, as well as experience in conducting market research to source new products and suppliers.

To be successful in this role, you must stay abreast of market trends, pricing, and availability of food products and ingredients.

You will also be responsible for optimizing inventory levels by implementing effective demand forecasting methods and maintaining accurate records of stock levels, usage, and lead times.

In addition, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities with other departments.

Requirements:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with:

  • Relevant degree or diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics or relevant courses
  • Proven 5 years and above experience in procurement or supply chain management within the food industry, preferably in a managerial capacity
  • Strong knowledge of food products, ingredients, and supply chain dynamics within the food industry
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and optimizing procurement processes
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Familiarity with relevant food safety and quality assurance standards and regulations
