Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to manage end-to-end procurement processes for confectionery and food items. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of importing goods, proficiency in supply chain management and inventory control.

  • Procure Confectionery and Food Items: Source high-quality products from international suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and optimal pricing.
  • Develop Relationships with Suppliers: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing to ensure maximum value for the company.
  • Maintain Market Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with market trends and identify new sourcing opportunities, enabling the company to stay competitive.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage budgets and control costs to optimize profitability.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Supply Chain Management: Proven experience in supply chain management, with expertise in procurement, logistics, and inventory control.
  • Purchasing and Sourcing: Skilled in purchasing and sourcing, with a focus on quality, price, and delivery.
  • Administration: Strong administrative skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Food Industry Experience: Experience working in the food industry, with knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
  • Inventory Control: Proven ability to manage inventory levels, minimize waste, and optimize stock levels.
  • Procurement: Skilled in procurement, with expertise in contract management, supplier selection, and negotiation.
  • Supply Chain Management: Experienced in supply chain management, with knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Pricing and Negotiation: Proven ability to negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, ensuring optimal value for the company.
