About the Role

The National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore, is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Project Officer. This 12-month contract post requires the successful candidate to develop science demonstrations and exhibits for teachers and students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing engaging science demonstrations and exhibits for educational settings
  • Co-teaching science demonstration sessions with instructors to enhance student understanding
  • Preparing, purchasing, and managing demonstration materials to ensure effective delivery
  • Communicating with teachers and students through website establishment and management
  • Undertaking other project management tasks as assigned by project team members to drive project success
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in science, such as physics or engineering
  • A background in physics and experience working in science classrooms
  • Skills in using Generative AI, including developing customised chatbots
  • Skills in establishing websites to facilitate communication and knowledge sharing
  • Strong communication, organisational, writing, and proofreading skills
  • Native or near-native proficiency in English
  • Proactive and able to work independently
  • A good team player with a collaborative mindset
