Job Overview

The position is part of the Family Support Services team, focusing on delivering evidence-based parenting and relationship programs to families. This role collaborates with educational institutions and community partners to design and implement these initiatives, alongside participating in various outreach activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Case Management:

  • Oversee 12 to 15 parenting consultation cases monthly.
  • Provide counseling, program management, and case services, including information and referrals for clients.
  • Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to program needs.
  • Engage in networking and case management meetings as necessary.
  • Ensure timely completion of all required case documentation.
  • Apply organizational frameworks focusing on resilience and risk assessment.
  • Refer clients to suitable agencies for additional support.

2. Group Facilitation and Workshops:

  • Lead Family Life Education (FLE) programs for parents and couples through various formats such as talks, workshops, and group sessions.
  • Independently plan and facilitate group interventions.

3. Supervision and Mentorship:

  • Provide clinical and program supervision to junior staff and interns.
  • Facilitate peer supervision sessions.

4. Professional Standards:

  • Exhibit professional conduct in alignment with the organization's vision, mission, and best practice standards, including ethical and collaborative practices.
  • Respond to crisis situations following established organizational protocols.
  • Identify and implement improvements in service delivery based on evidence-based practices.

5. Program Development and Execution:

  • Contribute to the implementation of care standards and organizational health policies.

6. Community Outreach:

  • Conduct engagement sessions in community settings to promote agency programs.
  • Network with community organizations and stakeholders through events and meetings.
  • Perform outreach to schools and community partners to enhance awareness of family support services and participation in FLE programs.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Graduate Diploma in Social Work.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in social services, education, or related fields focusing on families, parents, and children.
  • Preferred accreditation as an FLE trainer with specialist training in programs such as Triple P and Prepare/Enrich.
  • A genuine passion for enhancing family life through parenting support.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese is preferred, or at least conversational Mandarin to assist Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Proficient in using MS Teams and Zoom.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
