Location: Singapore

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the operations of the Aero-Engine Component Repair Cell and manage a team of 20-30 Technicians, including Polishers, Machinists, and Welders. Meet operational targets such as eTAT (Turnaround Time), OTD (On-Time Delivery), HPP (Hour Per Piece), productivity, and utilization while minimizing overtime and managing absenteeism. Implement Smart Factory initiatives and drive transformation and enhancements within the cell. Allocate manpower and resources effectively, including overtime management and charge allocation to optimize productivity. Monitor and report on production outputs and sales targets. Facilitate effective communication across teams, providing leadership development and performance feedback to shop floor employees. Assess staffing and training needs, including performance evaluations, salary reviews, and career development, while focusing on hiring, retaining, and nurturing talent. Offer mentorship and guidance to bridge gaps across functions. Collaborate with other departments such as Engineering, Quality, Finance, Customer Service, HR, and Materials to achieve cell objectives and company goals. Standardize operational metrics, reporting, and performance monitoring. Participate in audits and inspections as required. Lead productivity and CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) initiatives aimed at reducing costs, enhancing quality, and improving cycle times. Engage in and support EH&S programs and activities within the organization. Be prepared to work shifts to support operational needs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 3 years' experience in production, operations, or manufacturing in a supervisory capacity. Engineers interested in transitioning to an operations supervisory role are encouraged to apply. Internal candidates with a Diploma and 5 years' experience may also be considered. Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve business objectives. Strong problem-solving and leadership capabilities. Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels. Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and prioritization skills. Experience in lean manufacturing or repair with a continuous improvement mindset. Familiarity with SAP systems is advantageous. Relevant experience in Aerospace, manufacturing, or MRO is a plus.
