Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Coating Technician to join our team at Standard Aero. As a Coating Technician, you will be responsible for applying coatings to various parts and components using manual, semi-automatic, and robotic spray systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Select and prepare coating powders according to formulas and specifications.
  • Develop and implement programs for robots as applicable.
  • Operate degreaser and blasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces.
  • Prepare and mask parts with fixtures, rubber, tape, and other materials.
  • Set up and operate spray systems to apply substances to parts.
  • Inspect surfaces for defects and compliance with specifications.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, fixtures, and work areas.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • NITEC in Precision Machining/Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics.
  • Experience in operating lifting equipment, degreaser, and surface preparation equipment.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and internal process instructions.
  • Working knowledge of production management computer systems and related internal control systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.
