Job Summary

Centralization of Anatomic Pathology Services in a High-Performing Environment

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy for AP to centralize, harmonize, and consolidate resources and casemix at the cluster level.
  • Collaborate across institutions to standardize clinical and operational workflows, conduct inter-laboratory audits, and promote sharing and learning within the cluster.
  • Organize and present data to committees and workgroups for strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Promote service agreements for AP services within the cluster and with other healthcare clusters or external laboratories.

Anatomic Pathology's Enhancement and Growth Strategies

  • Coordinate upgrading of facilities and equipment to meet service needs, preparing technical specifications and reviewing proposals.
  • Partner with clinical leads to identify and capitalize on improvement initiatives that enhance service quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyses to recommend cost-effective sustainable care models for implementation.
  • Support process and workflow reviews, adoption of new tools and technologies, including AI and robotics for pathology operations.

Financial Performance and Resource Optimization

  • Review financial statements, business models, expenditures, and savings to optimize financial performance.
  • Utilize data analytics to forecast areas of high growth and/or potential, streamline workflows, reduce waste, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Ensure efficient use of AI-enabled Digital Pathology.

Regulatory Compliance and Governance

  • Support harmonization of workflows and processes and monitor quality indicators for AP laboratories.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies, providing support for audits and accreditation.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in laboratory and/or operations management
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial analysis
  • Prior experience with biosafety management is advantageous
