Visual Merchandising Role


You are responsible for creating visually appealing retail displays that capture customers' attention and drive branding and sales objectives. Your goal is to provide an excellent in-store experience by employing visual merchandising principles to convert window shoppers into prospects.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Create and implement a visual merchandising strategy in line with the store's brand, products, and target market.
  • Generate sketches of visual displays that meet the store's requirements, ensuring uniformity across multiple locations.
  • Finalise designs and create visual displays for display areas, including window displays, walkways, counters, and in-store displays.
  • Source props, creative materials, and accessories for displays, and install or supervise contractors for setup.
  • Liaise with other retail professionals, including buyers, marketing executives, and retail merchandisers, to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
  • Research lifestyle and design trends to inform the visual merchandising strategy and enhance the aesthetic appeal of displays.
  • Use applied skills in visual design and space utilisation to create visually appealing and effective displays.

Requirements:


Requirements include a Diploma or equivalent qualification, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in visual merchandising. Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator is also required, as well as comfort with using ladders and working at heights.


Skills:


Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as skills in visual merchandising, retail management, and aesthetic appeal.


Travel Requirements:


The role requires occasional travel to various branches to ensure consistency and alignment with the company's visual merchandising strategy.
