We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Expert to lead our technology strategy within the Payments Technology sector. As a key technical contributor, you will play a crucial role in implementing essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve strategic goals.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Executing creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
  • Developing secure high-quality production code, and reviewing and debugging code written by others.
  • Identifying opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Leading evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
  • Leading communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
  • Adding to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Formal Training and certification on software engineering and 10+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Working experience in micro-services based highly scalable systems.
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
  • Experience in creating highly scalable, reliable and robust systems which are 24x7x365 available.
  • Solid Java/J2EE development experience on large/medium sized projects.
  • Very strong fundamentals on Core Java and related technologies.
  • Experience in distributed messaging technology like Kafka, IBM MQ, etc. Experience in database design and working knowledge on Oracle and experience in AWS cloud and Kubernetes.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
