Job Title: Network Operations and Cable Landing Station Manager
Job DescriptionThe Network Operations and Cable Landing Station Manager is responsible for ensuring the operational integrity of submarine cable networks and landing stations, guaranteeing uninterrupted communication and data transmission.
- Monitor the submarine cable network and systems 24/7, detecting and responding to anomalies, outages, and performance issues.
- Analyze alarms and implement preventative measures to optimize network performance.
- 3-5 years of experience in a telecommunication service provider or major transmission equipment vendor environment.
- Prior experience in Submarine Cable Landing Station and NOC environments, as well as optical transmission knowledge, is highly desirable.
- Graduate or Diploma in Telecommunications/Electrical Engineering with relevant certifications like CCNA or CompTIA Network+.
- Strong understanding of submarine cable systems, networking principles, and telecommunications technologies.
- Good understanding and working knowledge of SDH, DWDM/submarine cable system operations, Ethernet technologies, and structured cabling are a plus.
- Familiarity with network and landing station monitoring tools, protocols, and technologies used in NOC and CLS environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose, communicate, and resolve complex network and landing station issues efficiently.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, especially during high-stress situations.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and coordinate with external partners.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment and handle shifting priorities.
