Senior Applications Developer Position

This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of an intermediate level position in applications development. The primary focus is on participating in the creation and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs, working closely with the technology team. The main objective is to contribute significantly to the analysis and programming of applications systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct feasibility studies, provide time and cost estimates, engage in IT planning, risk management, and develop applications to meet specific business needs or user requirements.
  • Oversee all phases of development, from analysis to implementation, and offer support to users and operational teams.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems, evaluate business processes, and make informed decisions.
  • Recommend security measures after implementing systems and ensure successful system design and functionality.
  • Collaborate with users, clients, and other technology groups to address issues, propose advanced programming solutions, and install customer exposure systems.
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and define operating standards and processes.
  • Serve as an advisor or coach to junior analysts.
  • Work independently with limited supervision, exercise sound judgment, and demonstrate autonomy.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and team members.
  • Identify and mitigate risks when making business decisions, prioritizing the firm's reputation and safeguarding its assets.
Requirements:
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in software development, including systems analysis and programming.
  • Experience with Java, J2EE, Spring framework, Hibernate, App Server, JMS/MQ/Kafka applications.
  • Multithreaded application development and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in multiple operating systems (Unix, Linux, Win).
  • Performance tuning expertise for large technical solutions.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
