Robotic Systems Software Developer

We are seeking an experienced software developer to join our innovative Robotic team. The primary role is to design, develop, test, deploy and maintain Software applications for the Nurse Companion Robot. These applications will perform tasks required to fulfill our Institution's operational needs.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Software: Design, develop, and maintain software for robotic systems, including perception, navigation, manipulation, and control algorithms.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
  • Implementation and Optimization: Implement and optimize algorithms for real-time performance and efficiency.
  • Integration: Integrate software with robotic hardware components and third-party systems.
  • Testing and Debugging: Conduct testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and functionality of robotic software.
  • Documentation: Document software design, implementation, and testing processes.
  • Staying Updated: Stay updated with the latest advancements in robotics technology and incorporate relevant innovations into software development.

Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in software development for robotic systems, including proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or ROS (Robot Operating System), JavaScript.
  • Strong Understanding: Strong understanding of robotics principles, including kinematics, dynamics, sensor fusion, and motion planning.
  • Simulation Tools: Experience with robotic simulation tools such as Gazebo or V-REP.
  • Full Stack Development: Experience in full stack development, including user interfaces, backend services and data management, including frontend frameworks (ie React, Angular), backend technologies (ie Django)
  • Azure Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, version control systems (e.g., Git) and software development best practices
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with good communication and collaboration skills.
